Rings, weapons, exceptionally high armored pieces, etc. Comment by Dire Bear is the way to go for pure tankage as a druid. Your threat is multiplicitive based on your damage, as opposed to Warriors and Tankadins who can cry out a static amount of threat. I try to balance my stats a bit - overwhelming stamina and try to keep my agi and str together as close as I can.
Druids can't block or parry, so you want lots of dodge and damage mitigation as well. Before raiding you can achieve over 13, armor and 6, health with the proper gear. If cat form had better DPS than a rogue, why would rogues be created? Druids have the best of three worlds. We can bear form, root the enemy, heal to full hp, and charge back at the enemy in bear form while they have low hp, and we have full. Shapeshifting is just meant to aid the druid. And to what one person posted, it does suck when you do more damage in caster form than you do in bear form haha.
Bear is a great tank if you're feral spec'd and have the gear, and yes, you can get higher armor with druids in bear than with any other class. It's easily possible to go over 10k, and if you're really trying, you can get over 15k.

About 20 or so mobs would be attacking him and barely dented his hp, and if he would get low hed just use frenzied regeneration. My only problem with it is it looks exactly the same as regular bear, which sucks. Its the DIRE bear, not the puny flaccid bear. He should have glowing red eyes, be alot bigger, and have black spikey armor. My guild has 2 major druids A Feral specced one and me, Balance and Restoration.

With balanced specced druids, you get what I mentioned above. There are advantages for both Feral and Balance. Trust me Druids FTW! After I got Moonkin Form, My guild's casters have been criting left and right. Both Dire Bear and Moonkin Form have their benefits. Don't be afraid to try moonkin. Not only do you look cool, you dance cool! Comment by Thottbot now druids, correct me if I'm wrong. If so, Moonkin would also help save a priest's mana by the crit usage.
Just my 2cps worth. Comment by Thottbot Yea, you didn't notice that before? The Aura will aid your party, but also since you went balance, I'm guessing you've got improved StarFire. In an extended raid, it'll prove useful, when facing off against mobs that are not immune to that kind of thing.
