There is much higher recognition of PMP in these regions and it will provide independent recognition of your current project experience.

I have been pleased with the quality and price of used books that I have purchased using half.
I also recommend studying with a partner or team and making a commitment to meet and take practice exams together on a regular basis. Maybe you can have a virtual study session teleconference or such with someone from Ittoolbox. In that newsletter they also publish about 4 practice questions based on the PMP exam, so you could review their archives and find some study materials this would be a bit tedious, but it is a possibility. Take as many practice tests as you can. You can get excellen t ones that simulate the actual test for free at pmstudy.
